I spent time in a lobby... Everyone seemed like hackers, but I wasn't.

Stop the game now. Resume later. Or keep playing until updates or new content appear. Consider purchasing other titles such as Arma 3: Prelude or BF2 Project Reality. Alternatively, try free games. I think Myst Online: URU is great for exploration and social interaction with others. It offers a unique community and gameplay experience.

I've noticed things have become monotonous too. Racing is entertaining, but it's hard to connect with others who are ready to pull off heists. They should include elements that let people tackle tasks alone. I’ve heard many heist designs could be simpler and more rewarding when done individually.

The issue with GTA is that online play doesn't fully capture the essence of the game. Rockstar's efforts to build a realistic economy often diminish the core experience (seriously, it feels like a turbo must cost 50k). I've played it extensively with friends and enjoyed it so far. Avoid heists unless you have teammates; a lobby full of strangers is likely to fail. A positive aspect is that all DLC has been free thus far, with the heist update adding valuable content.

Creates a high-end personal PC every couple of years... Mostly enjoys emulators... I moved past the 'mainstream enthusiast' gaming phase a while back, due to busy schedules, though GTA V works well for quick sessions. Some prefer more mature titles for longer immersion, but tastes differ widely. I’d lose interest if everything stayed short-term... but I don’t go that route.

Want to try another game? If you've only played a few times and enjoyed around 40 hours of single-player content, there might not be much left that feels exciting. The real fun comes from playing with friends, so if you don’t have any, you might not even want to give it a shot.

It's clear you're feeling quite restricted in your interests. There aren't many activities that bring you joy at the moment.

Yeah, it feels a bit dull at this point, but I still enjoy collecting and improving my cars. I haven’t got an armored Kuruma or Zentorno yet—my top pick is the GTA version of Porsche.
