GTA IV received a subtle patch after six years. https://www.vg247.com/2016/11/30/gta-4-g...pc-update/ I checked performance and it hovered around 80 FPS, with the slowest at 45 FPS. I ran a CPU-heavy test using 1280x1024 resolution at 75 Hz.

They've been resting for more than six years? What happened next?

It likely required six years to resolve the severe issues in GTA IV.

Regardless of the time required, Valve will never release Half Life 3.

It's great to hear! I personally prefer GTA IV over GTA V in terms of story, characters, and missions. I think I'll reinstall it now that the latest patch has improved it.
