I tried playing GTA on both versions and noticed something odd on Windows 10—there were occasional CPU spikes in certain parts of the map, which didn’t happen on Windows 7. Someone else might have experienced this too?

Which GTA and why?
Certain OS-level black magic such as thread management might have varied between Windows 7 and Windows 10, possibly improving performance in the newer OS—though this is uncertain unless you notice stutters or lag.

GTA 5 initially seemed like the Windows Gamemode was the issue, but it’s not. I’m not too concerned, though it bothers me to hear the fans speed up every few minutes. It wasn’t this way on Windows 7, and there were no lags or stutters at all.
But yes, it works differently on Windows 10. I plan to ask about this in more relevant forums for the game.
