Hi all,
Just checking in, I've been reviewing these stats and specs recently.
I just installed an 8GB RX580 with my R5 3600 and am running GTA 5 at full settings except for MSAA (x2). Performance remains solid at 1080p 60fps.
I'm puzzled by the constant use of 6-6.3GB VRAM shown in the metrics overlay on my Radeon software. It jumped from around 5.5GB during a storm and stayed there for a while afterward. I haven't seen any discussion about such high VRAM consumption.
Any advice or insights?

Previous GPU model was unknown; please remove drivers via DDU and install the newest ones from AMD's support site. Ensure your motherboard's BIOS is up to date. Here are your specifications:
CPU: [CPU details]
Motherboard: [Motherboard name]
Ram: [RAM amount]
SSD/HDD: [Storage type and size]
GPU: [GPU model]
PSU: [Power supply information]
OS: [Operating system]

Thanks for the response. I was using a 2gb radeon hd7850 which was actually running very smoothly on GTA at high settings (40-50fps) and wanted to upgrade to get more out of my system.
Gigabyte A-320M-S2H
Ryzen 5 3600
Corsair Vengeance LPX 2 x 8gb @2133mhz
Crucial P1 NvMe 500gb
Powercolor Red Dragon Rx580
Windows 10 Home
I installed the Rx580 driver from the box and then updated to the latest version via Radeon Software.
Performance is excellent, but I’m curious about the high VRAM usage compared to other reviews I’ve seen.

Realise there are much better options to maximize my system! But I limited myself to the Rx580 within my budget.
