I just got my new computer and attempted to launch GTA 5, but it only managed around 10 frames per second with all settings enabled. Your system details are: Asus GTX 1060, 6GB turbo Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM.

Did you link the video cable to your GPU or motherboard? Are there demanding processes running in the background (such as an antivirus scan)? Which operating system are you using?

I linked the cable, didn’t have a heavy task running in the background, and I’m using Windows 10.

Validate game information. Adjust GeForce Experience settings. Test resolution changes. Ensure GPU connection is active in GeForce Experience. Good luck!

You're seeing lower frame rates due to the GPU's limitations at high resolutions. Make sure your monitor isn't connected to the motherboard—it would explain the sluggish performance. Your setup with the GTX 970 and disabled cores should give you around 3.8 GHz Haswell performance, which is typical for integrated graphics.
