There’s no clear measurable advantage between the two options. Both seem to share similar specifications, timing, and cooling performance. The price difference likely comes from other factors like marketing, regional pricing, or bundled features. Since you’re focused on reliability and long-term use, sticking with a trusted brand like Dominator might be more sensible unless you have a compelling reason to pay more.

The price of $825 seems unusual. Prices for RAM can vary widely due to the large number of available options.

At the same pace and settings, everything looks exactly alike. It seems folks are okay with paying the Corsair fee for RAM, which is why these models cost more than similar ones otherwise.

I thought it was likely, though I wasn’t certain Corsair had the resources to pay such a high fee without a solid justification.

Determining the issue requires knowing the XMP frequency, timing, and capacity details. DDR4 doesn’t require additional cooling; its temperature is more influenced by nearby components like a hot CPU. Even with modern heatsinks, removing the LEDs can be just as effective. Various kits from the same manufacturer will perform similarly in this case.
