Hello Everyone! I need some help and it will be deeply appreciated. I'm building my first PC and I decided to get the Gskill RGB 16 GB F4-3600C18D-16GTZR. I'm pairing this with the AMD Ryzen 5 3600, I heard there is a Model with a X at the end which is for AMD Compatibility. F4-3600C18D-16GTZRX. FOr me its very difficult to return this product, will there be any issue with me using the above ram? Thank you!
I was matching it with the MSI Tomahawk Max and found they have a model ending in X, not the F4-3600C18D-16GTZR. My main aim is to reach 3600 MHz RAM, but I’m uncertain if that’s possible.
It seems this was a significant point during the Ryzen launch when motherboards had limited RAM support. You probably won’t encounter any problems. In the best scenario, you might cap at 3200 MHz, but it’s unlikely to be noticeable compared to 3600 MHz. If you’ve already placed your order, I’d suggest giving it a try. Most likely, you’ll have no trouble reaching 3600 MHz with that board.
Importing this from the US to your country would be quite difficult. I need them by Friday. It's okay if it doesn't work perfectly; I just want it to run on my CPU and MOBO.
