Hi everyone. I bought a Ryzen 1600x with a MSI B350 Gaming Plus board and am facing issues with overclocking my RAM to 3200mhz. I've tried various methods to change the overclock settings, but every time I save the BIOS and restart, the RAM speed remains at 2400mhz. Even when I set it below 3200mhz, it doesn't work. I'm relatively new to this process, though I'm not completely clueless. I've updated the AMD drivers and MSI bios, but still no success. The processor itself overclocks easily. Another problem is that when I attempt to change the RAM settings, the CPU speed resets back to normal speeds, even though the BIOS says it's overclocked. Disabling the RAM overclock brings the CPU back to its default settings. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone. I bought a Ryzen 1600x with a MSI B350 Gaming Plus motherboard and I'm facing issues when trying to push my RAM up to 3200mhz. I've experimented with various methods to overclock, but every time I save the BIOS settings and restart, the RAM speed remains at 2400mhz. Even after lowering it below 3200mhz, it doesn't stick. I'm relatively new to this process, though I'm not entirely clueless about it. I've updated the AMD chipset drivers and the latest MSI bios, but nothing seems to work. On the other hand, when I try to overclock the RAM, the processor speed resets back to its default level, even though the BIOS still shows it's overclocked. Disabling the RAM overclocking causes the CPU speed to return to normal.

Joshluke21 shared his experience with overclocking his Ryzen 1600x system. He mentioned difficulties in reaching 3200mhz despite using multiple methods and even after installing the latest drivers. He also noted that changing RAM settings caused processor speeds to reset back to default levels, though the BIOS still indicated overclocking. He asked for advice and found some relevant discussions online.
