Hey, there seems to be a problem with my computer since March. I built a new PC using: AMD 5950x, MSI B550 Unify GSKill 3600mhz DDR4, 32GB RAM, 980 Pro M.2, Windows 10 64-bit (latest updates), Corsair 860i (860W). My old GPU was an RTX 2080 Ti. The issue shows up in certain situations, especially with some games. On the monitor it appears as a black screen and the motherboard displays error code 00. There’s no BSOD, and the event viewer only records a sudden shutdown—manually turning it off restarts the PC. It happens randomly in specific software, even when CPU and GPU aren’t under heavy load. I’ve replaced the CPU twice, so this is the third one. The motherboard I bought on Amazon is identical to the one I used before. I’ve tried another GPU, installed fresh Windows with all drivers and firmware, swapped the PSU, and even used a different RAM. The problem only disappears if I swap the CPU with a 5800x or use a 3200mhz Corsair Vengeance 64GB. MemTest86 revealed many errors, stopping the test due to too many issues. It failed only twice during testing, not in normal speeds. The motherboard error code 00 appears with all configurations, but the RAM seems to be the culprit. I checked the G-Skill memory listing and it’s marked as supported. I’ve already submitted an RMA request, hoping they can fix it. At this point, every hardware part has been replaced, so the only remaining concern is the RAM. UPDATE OCT 2022: THE PROBLEM CONTINUES EVEN AFTER REPLACING RAM. It might also be linked to MemTest64 showing “Memory locking failed” for the G-Skill RAM, while the Corsair one works without issues. Are these the only tests that could have been done?
You can simply return it for repair. It seems most RAM comes with a lifetime warranty, so there shouldn't be any issues.
I sent back a Fury Beast and received a Fury Renegante. It looks much better with the signature.
