I was really let down by GRID 2's handling for drifting, but this seems like a positive sign. Grid has always been a favorite for racing games—though I haven’t tried the Racing simulators yet. Games like GRID and Grand Turismo (PS1-PS2) were incredibly engaging. I’d spend hours in the game chasing lap times or trying to improve my score on a track. Hope Codemasters gets better with this one than they did with Dirt Showdown and GRID 2.

Only you need to notice, the visuals feel sparse—I think I've been expecting too much after Assetto Corsair and Project Cars.

I'm really pumped. I've spent more than 60 hours in Grid 2. I really enjoy the game a lot.

Really excited for this. It's nice that they are making a game more realistic than Grid1. I never played Grid2 because of it being less realistic. I spent hours on Grid1, especially in drift. So much fun. Video of me drifting in Grid1

I hope you know that it is Assetto Corsa, not Corsair. If that was supposed to be a pun, then well done sir... well done.

Graphics play a lesser role in racing games lately, though they've been okay over the past five years. For me, extra flair comes from something other than racing itself. I just wish developers could improve how cars feel. I don't want another title where you race on ice or with balloons. GRID2 brought back memories of classic arcade racers.

From a business perspective, arcade racers could significantly impact the sales of simulators. People tend to prefer instant gratification, and many are hesitant to invest time in games with steep learning curves. This dynamic is similar to the differences between titles like Cod, BF4, and Arma 3. The key is balancing ease of use with satisfying gameplay—simulations that are too realistic can deter players. I believe there should be a clear distinction between fun and realism, as this drives customer satisfaction and purchases. Currently, my view on Grid 2 is negative because the controller malfunctioned immediately after purchase, which was disappointing.

If you enjoy arcade racing, NFS is always available. I just wish there were options in between, similar to how Forza and GT appear on consoles.

Forza isn't actually a simulator, Granturismo acts more like one, in the default setup it's an arcade but when you crank up the realism it becomes much more intense, I haven't played the GT6 yet but I'm not sure about that.

In every review I've seen they're consistently praised as solid middle ground between realism and arcade style. I haven't actually played either one; GT3 was the last game I really enjoyed, Forza was just enjoyable with a controller, and Dirt3 offers the best balance on PC that I've experienced.
