Grid 2: My reflections
Grid 2: My reflections
So far, the experience has been quite good. I’ve spent most of my time playing early NFS titles and GT5 games (NFS3, HS, PS Unleashed, Underground, Underground 2, etc.) along with some other FPS games. Grid 2 offers many features I enjoy, like referencing "JDM" when talking about Japanese classics such as the Silvia. It also has a comprehensive collection of cars, from muscle to European and my favorite Japanese models. My question is, why do you like it? If you do.
I haven't played Grid 2 much recently. I think I enjoy it, it kind of reminds me of Forza games.
It's a solid game. I do miss the level of customization found in Gran Turismo—something this title really needs. The physics feel decent, though they can be a bit inconsistent (I repeat the same moves with different outcomes). The intel splash screen looks great on an AMD system, and the flashback sequence is enjoyable. I'm currently competing Euro Rand right now.
I favor GRID 2's approach over Autosport, except when using a controller—I do. What consistently ends the game for most players, including me, is the divided DLC that splits the community. I enjoy the SP but dislike the MP; things changed after week one when more DLC caused further division.
It really frustrates me not being able to take off the sponsor stickers from the cars. Having more vehicles and personalization options would be great, but overall it was a solid game. I still enjoy SHIFT 2 Unleashed more.
It's an enjoyable racing game, though the physics feel quite arcade-like. Still, it's not terrible. I tend to favor Assetto Corsa, R3E, and Codemaster's F1 series.
