I stepped away from the laptop for a moment, and he activated sleep mode on his own. Once it was on, green lines emerged. These lines shift position continuously when the device powers up and turns off sleep mode.

A lot of profanity appears in that picture. Locals can understand Russian too. Haha
Anyway, the screen seems to be damaged. Try using an external monitor.
