Mid settings without AA prevent running identical tests on BF4 since the latest update halted launch (disappointing as I nearly completed it). In contrast, Crysis 3 at high preset caused my 970 to slow down by over 50% during 4GHz overclock.

It's challenging to demonstrate since I only have the older 650ti with 2GB RAM for comparison. However, on my old monitor at 1024x768 resolution, I could run Crysis 3 smoothly at high settings without any lag when I used the 650ti. In reality, your CPU will likely limit the performance of the games you play, as shown in my setup at 4GHz.

I regret what console owners face. They manage around 30 frames per second at most. Yet achieving 30fps—or more—would make consoles worthwhile, otherwise buyers wouldn’t be interested.

I understand that 30 frames per second works well for single-player settings. In multiplayer, things change significantly. The main distinction between PC and consoles is that everyone gets the same performance level. That makes playing a multiplayer game on a console at 30fps more consistent than trying to match that speed on PC. Most BF4 players on PC aim for around 60fps or higher. If you're stuck at 30fps, you're clearly at a disadvantage. For multiplayer, I feel strongly that anything below 60fps isn't viable.

That aligns with your perspective. If we're focusing on multiplayer only, it's important to consider what works best for everyone. Destiny operates at 30fps, and many players enjoy that setting. While higher frame rates are generally better, I'm open to games running smoothly above 60fps if they meet the experience. 30 fps is just a baseline, not a hard limit.
