Rust is an excellent game to enjoy with friends. It's not a cooperative title, but it's fun to play together. You can find it for around $5 to $20 when bought in a pack of four.
It looks like a reasonable deal when it comes to that price. It's tough to get my friends to part with their money right now, especially at $20 each.
The Borderlands series is excellent, probably Borderlands 2 is the main one.
Broforce, Portal, Portal 2, Borderlands 2, Borderlands Pre-Sequal, Rocket league, Castle Crashers, Battle Blocks Theater, Terraria, and pretty much any multiplayer survival game (and I'm loving ARK: Survival Evolved with my crew)
