Got a recent E5-2697 v3 QS for $180 on eBay. This will upgrade nicely to my E5-1650 v3 and open the door for more virtualisation. Such a good deal! Not too shabby for 3.6GHz dual-core and 3.1GHz all-core. It should keep me happy until the Skylake-W or Threadripper Colfax drop in price. There are decent offers on Skylake-W Apple QS chips, but the entry cost for Basin Falls C422 is still pretty steep right now. What other good bargains have you discovered?
