Hello. I purchased a new PC recently for gaming, mainly for light games like League of Legends and CS:GO. It has 8GB RAM at 1600Mhz, an AMD AThlon x4 860k, and a base GPU clock of 925Mhz. The card's overclock limit is set to 1050Mhz, which I can achieve via overclocking. Why is this cap in place?
it depends on the type of waffle it came from. sometimes you win with silicone lotto. another factor is the voltage and heat limits built into the GPU chip and card. some chips with the same wattage can perform better, but only if you find a GPU card with good speeds.
