Hello, Minecraft exclusively utilizes my integrated Intel 630 GPU, resulting in zero graphics card utilization according to RiverTuner and an average frame rate of 60. Initially, upon upgrading my GPU, Minecraft did function utilizing the dedicated graphics card. A driver issue may be a contributing factor. My CPU is an i5 8400, and my GPU is a GTX 1660 Super.
The monitor should be connected directly to the graphics card, not the motherboard. On a desktop computer, you can only use the graphics card's display output by connecting the monitor to it.
I have stated above that I only experience this in Minecraft. Every other game or program uses the dedicated GPU.
Desktops do not swap between integrated and dedicated graphics like laptops can. There must be another explanation. Please test with different monitoring software.
My mistake. I have NVIDIA Experience on my PC, and it appears to have automatically set my game settings to an absurd level, such as the maximum quality slider with a 32 render distance. I initially assumed that the integrated graphics was being utilized because my CPU was consistently at 99% while my GPU usage remained extremely low, around 2%. However, what remains puzzling is that when reducing the render distance to 16, I only achieve approximately 150-200 frames per second with a 16% GPU usage.
