Graphics Problem overheating
Graphics Problem overheating
I'm having some difficulties. I wasn't able to identify the issue. During charging, all games are lagging even for normal graphics titles. However, when playing in battery mode it works perfectly. Could you suggest some solutions for this problem?
LAPTOP NAME: CyberpowerPC Fangbook III HX 6
Specifications:
Intel Core I7-4900MQ Mobile Processor 2.80 GHz
1TB 7200 RPM SATA 300
ADATA SX300 SERIES 128GB MSATA
GSKILL 16GB DDR3 1600MHZ
8X SLIM DVD REWRITABLE 9.5mm Optical Drive
NVIDIA GTX 860M 4GB BareBone
Windows 10 64-Bit CYBERPOWER FANGBOOK III HX6
I used a HW monitor to check for temperature changes.
My observations:
Normal Condition:
- Motherboard temp: Min 69°C, Max 73°C
- CPU temp: Min 63°C, Max 77°C
While playing games during charging:
- Motherboard temp: Min 69°C, Max 94°C
- CPU temp: Min 63°C, Max 96°C
While playing games in battery mode:
- Motherboard temp: Min 69°C, Max 80°C
- CPU temp: Min 63°C, Max 81°C
Is the issue related to FPS lag or another problem? I experienced a computer displaying 'plugged in, not charging' and automatically reducing performance. Could this be similar?
Legonate416 :
Is it FPS lag or something else?
I had a computer where it would say 'plugged in, not charging' and it would automatically lower performance. Maybe your machine is like that?
Thanks for thinking about it.
Just now I cleaned my vent and it's fine now.
