If you've boosted performance, turn off those settings. Also, ensure your drivers are current.
I'm working with CPU and GPU clock timers that are all water-cooled, and I've faced similar ghosting issues. I'm using the newest NVIDIA drivers and GeForce Experience, but I'm not sure what else to try.
Attempting to reduce GPU clock speed by 50MHz and adjusting power usage to 90% to test effectiveness, suggestion from a GeForce forum user.
I accessed the page to review the benchmark results for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
He isn't getting much performance on an 860M, huh? My 780M would hold a consistent 90fps in ultra, but it's way too weak compared to my cards.
Thanks for the feedback. I discovered a fix in the Nvidia Control panel—Vsync was configured as adaptive. Switching it off noticeably extended the time between crashes. Also, adjusting my GPU power limit to 90% helped significantly. @ D2ultima I didn’t modify my RAM clock speed, but tweaking the settings allowed me to play a full hour without issues. I hadn’t considered RAM until you brought it up. I’ll try changing the RAM clock speed next and see if it makes a difference.
I'm sorry for the oversight. At work, I was testing the system and didn't notice we were using a POS 720p display. The best video setting matched that resolution, allowing me to move quickly through the frames.
