Graphics card compatible with Xeon motherboards featuring Chinese design
Hello everyone, welcome from Spain. I’m facing a challenge I need advice on. I work in the package industry, delivering for AliExpress and sometimes clients forget, move, or take vacations. Consequently, some packages stay in our warehouse for extended periods. Those items are sold or taken by others—it’s more convenient and cost-effective for logistics. Recently, I tried a package with a chinese Xeon motherboard that sat unused for a month. I picked it up because I had an unused 8GB Radeon RX 580 GPU. I attempted to run it with the motherboard here: https://es.aliexpress.com/item/100500658...pt=glo2esp. It didn’t work. I visited a store, and the GPU functioned perfectly on another PC. My question is: how can I verify compatibility? Is there a way to update the BIOS or adjust settings so it works on that board? Thanks in advance. Have a great day. A compatible PCIe graphics card should suffice if the remaining components are functioning. PCIe supports both forward and backward compatibility. You'll need a motherboard that's proven to work alongside your CPU to help identify the problem. What CPU and motherboard are you currently using?
I reside in the Philippines and I'm encountering some problems with these LGA 2011-3 boards. Both units have issues delivering power to the PCIe slot, especially with older GPUs that don't support external power. While they work fine with internal power, I'm struggling to get the latest models to function properly. Please understand this isn't a clear solution, but I hope you're not alone in facing this challenge.
Hi for your specific problem it is a bios issue I have the same type of mb for my homelab and sometimes out of nothing it would restart and stuck on ff code i tried everything it would have weird issue but after a bios flash and reset it now it works fine still… would not recommend to buy those mb of any kind. there is a saying in my country: what comes cheap will go out expensive
