You're experiencing high power usage during overclocking, which is unusual and could indicate a problem. It's worth investigating further.

not really, if you increase power usage by +20% or more, then it will draw more current. for instance my 7970 has a 270TDP rating but uses up to 370w during OCCT tests. yes, the differences between nvidia and amd still cause it to exceed slightly.

Ryan_78 explains that increasing power usage by 20% would actually raise consumption, citing his 7970's 270TDP rating and higher test readings. He notes only the Core Clock was adjusted, not other settings, and asks if "power consumption to +20%" refers to Power Limit in Afterburner.

how much is it going over? if its a few watts its fine, but if a 760 is taking all the way up to 190, 200ish watts its unusual. its like 175ish its fine. how much do you have overclocked?

Nevermind, I changed my mind, i'm not going to OC my GPU. The temps in Benchmarks, where fine, but when i opened The Witcher 3, it jumped up to 85 c, and i didn't really notice any performance gain. Thanks for you're help though
