I own an Asrock X570M Pro4 board along with a Ryzen 3700X and an XFX Radeon RX 5700x Raw II. After checking HWiNFO64, the graphics card is running at x16. However, there are two PCIe Root Ports and two PCIe Upstream Switch Ports operating at half their full link widths. One group of ports and switches is showing x4 instead of x8, while another set matches the x8 configuration the card uses. I suspect this discrepancy might be due to GPU-Z or AMD Radeon software reporting x8, even though it doesn’t significantly affect performance. I’m wondering if the motherboard or CPU could be faulty. I didn’t mention that I have an NVMe SSD, but someone with the same CPU and board reported two NVMe drives and their card showing at x16 in GPU-Z.

It seems the hardware appears intact since everything is functioning. Check if the GPU is connected to the primary PCIe lane. Without knowing your exact board model, the main slot typically holds an x16 connection. If it does, it’s likely your motherboard is adapting certain ports or components like the NVMe drive or chipset. If it works fine in that position, there’s probably nothing to worry about.

Could you let me know where your M2 fits in the schedule?

It seems likely because the 5700XT supports PCIe 4 and the board includes PCIe 4, it employs eight PCIe 4 lanes rather than sixteen three lanes, which helps allocate more bandwidth for additional devices.

Is this the same port you're referring to? It seems likely the data is incorrect. Also, it looks like you probably don’t have any additional PCIe devices connected.

The graphics card is showing x16 according to HWiNFO64. Only the two root connections and the two upstream switches aren't functioning at full bandwidth.

Removed all PCIe add-ins except the video card and NVMe SSD. Verified HWiNFO64 discrepancy; it matches the Linux lspci -vvv output. Hope this clears up any confusion.

It seems like you're suggesting a potential issue with the software. Maybe it's simply incorrect.
