I noticed another discussion about this problem but it's archived and no one found a fix. I'm testing on 1440p with a Ryzen 7 3700X paired with a 6800 XT featuring 32 gigs of RAM at 3200 MHz. Additionally, I want to clarify that this isn't a common micro stutter where the game freezes briefly. Instead, my FPS can drop from 80-90 FPS to 15-30 FPS for just one or two seconds. I have no idea why this is occurring. I’m certain it’s not due to thermal throttling since both my GPU and CPU temperatures stay below 65°C, with the GPU junction temps under 84°C (the temperature starts at 110°C for my card).

This issue appears in specific locations such as Rhodes, Valentine, and Emerald Ranch, but mostly shows up in Saint Denis every now and then. The game runs smoothly using Vulkan, though I sometimes face audio crackling. I’ve tried DX12, but it doesn’t resolve the problem and actually increases stuttering elsewhere.

I’ve been dealing with this for a month and would really appreciate any advice or help that could solve it. Please let me know if you need more details—thank you.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Ensure you're using the most recent BIOS for your motherboard. Next, manually reinstall any chipset drivers for your platform. Then fetch the newest GPU drivers from AMD's support site. Use DDU to remove your current GPU drivers, restart, and reinstall them with the downloaded driver in an elevated command—right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator.

I've completed everything. All information is current, and I even updated the latest chipset driver recently. Still, it didn't resolve my problem. I ran a memory diagnostic and found no issues.

Ensure the windows are current. If the issue persists, reinstall the game. If that doesn’t help, contact the studio’s customer support or AMD to see if they have a solution.

Windows isn't it, it's just reinstalling the game. I'll reach out to AMD...
