The issue seems to be with saving fan control settings when using "user defined" mode. It resets to automatic after closing GPU tweaks or restarting the computer. Someone might have a solution or workaround for this.

I haven't used gpu tweak since it had a voltage changing problem but at the bottom under the profiles is there an apply overclock at startup? Even if you're not changing clocks/voltage it probably also takes care of fan profiles.

For overclocking adjustments, Tweak must stay active continuously. If it shuts down, settings revert to defaults. Regarding startups, set it to launch with Windows and enable the 'apply profile' option at startup.

MSI Afterburner is a common tool. It relies on Nvidia’s NVAPI for Nvidia cards and AMD’s API for AMD cards to interact with drivers and adjust overclocks. This isn’t completely accurate. While MSI and ASUS may use their own APIs for certain cards, the core functionality remains similar across manufacturers.
