Hello, my issue is that the PC frequently freezes during startup if the GPU is installed. The specific GPU used is a Sapphire R9 380. The motherboards are Gigabyte GA-31M-ES2L and BIOS STAR Hi-Fi Z87W. I tested booting from the integrated GPU when it wasn<|pad|>, but if the GPU is present, the PC freezes during POST on both boards. The GPU switcher is set to change between UEFI and BIOS, but nothing alters. I attempted to retrieve POST codes using the PCI POST card, yet the system consistently stops at code 2b for both Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG and BIOS STAR UEFI 2.3.1: PI 1.2. I checked the voltage readings on the GPU board – Vcore, Vmem, and memory controller voltages appear normal, along with a stable 0.95V on the PCIe rail. The Pcie to ground resistance and trace lines seem fine, and the capacitors look okay. Visually, the GPU board seems intact. I also tried installing a different vBIOS version, but it didn’t resolve the issue. Could you know if someone else has faced a similar problem or have any suggestions? Thank you for your help.
