Hello.
I just built my own PC and want to make the most of my GPU (Gigabyte GTX 1080 windforce oc). I’m using MSI Afterburner to overclock and I’m curious about checking stability.
Currently, I run a Furmark stress test and play PUBG. What else should I do? How long should I let the software run? Also, do you have any additional tips for overclocking? All very helpful!

Usually any benchmark program serves as a stability check. The Unigen Heaven benchmark is well-known, though others like FurMark prefer stress testing. You might also consider 3DMark since it offers both free and paid versions. I usually adjust settings while running Heaven and then perform stress tests in more demanding games. For my experience, Fallout 4 is quite sensitive to graphics problems, so I add it toward the end of my testing.

Justin suggests using benchmark programs for stability checks and mentions Unigen Heaven, FurMark, and 3DMark as alternatives. He recommends tweaking during Heaven runs and stress testing in demanding games. He also notes Fallout 4's sensitivity to graphics issues and advises including it late in testing.

Usually stability issues are obvious, but after about 10 minutes of use you can spot temperature-related problems.
