Components: ASUS ROG X870E WI-FI GIGABYTE AERO RTX 5070 OC. Issues: GPU not showing up in PCIE5 slot despite attempts to reinstall drivers and adjust settings. After reseating, it stopped being detected in BIOS or Device Manager. I removed and reinserted it, but the Q-release remains stuck in "Eject" due to pressure from the motherboard. I noticed a tiny gap near the video ports showing the card is positioned correctly. I tried viewing the slot mechanism with photos: the small space near the ports confirms proper alignment. The card works when installed on top of the Q-release, and I managed to install NVIDIA drivers successfully. There’s a visible metal push-pin in the slot that retracts when the release is pressed, helping eject the GPU. The fans aren’t spinning now, which is unusual since the system was running. Any suggestions for fixing this? Are there obvious mistakes in the installation process?

I've been checking official ASUS materials and videos for guidance on installing and removing GPUs. Testing still showed issues in Device Manager and BIOS—using a different GPU (EVGA RTX 3060 10GB) that worked before, with a fresh Windows 11 setup and no changes to settings like reverting to the context menu or clearing AI bloatware. The factory BIOS was updated via USB from ASUS, and I followed their recommended defaults. After trying the basic support script from ASUS, they promised to escalate my case and follow up.

It seems you switched to a different GPU yet the problem continues. I doubt it would have been caught during initial testing—could there be another cause? Maybe an obstruction is blocking the slot completely? Try taking the motherboard out of the case and check again. If the issue remains, please share a clear video of what you're experiencing.

I haven't tested it with the motherboard removed from the case (Lian Li Lancool 207), so I'll follow up later. Right now my concerns are mainly about the Q-release button being activated by the GPU bulk, without thinking about any issues with the case.

I question the likelihood of the issue being due to the motherboard, particularly because the problem occurs with two GPUs. Removing the motherboard from the case (and positioning it on a nonconductive, static-free surface like the box) should improve visibility and aid in troubleshooting much more effectively.
