Hello, everyone, I hope everything is fine. In brief, this issue has been with me since I can remember. My computer would suddenly run incredibly fast, almost without any stutter or noticeable delay—usually around 8-9 am. After checking all possible fixes, it became clear the problem was related to grounding and electricity. Recently, I began noticing changes in my setup when performance jumped dramatically, from around 60Hz to 144Hz. It turns out the biggest shift is in my GPU’s activity. Both components seem closely connected. My GPU rarely exceeds 30% usage, except after multiplayer sessions or games like CSGO, Fortnite, Valorant, or Hogwarts Legacy, when it drops to 15-20%. This usually happens during intense gameplay with others nearby. Under heavy load—like having multiple players or simultaneous tasks—the GPU usage drops, causing stutters and lag. Once it returns to normal, everything runs smoothly, even under stress. I’ve tried almost everything: adjusting settings, changing the CPU and GPU, tweaking system timers, switching GPUs, updating drivers, modifying hardware, relocating things, manually grounding the machine (which helped a lot), and more. All these attempts were fruitless except for a few that directly addressed input lag. I’ve read about similar problems on forums and found some helpful advice. The only real solution seems to be switching to a laptop, where I could avoid this issue entirely. I’m hesitant to upgrade my desktop further due to this limitation, but it’s making me rethink my options. This affects my competitive gaming performance significantly.
