I also checked with the igpu to verify if the GPU was responsible for the issue

Check if the operating system is running on the hard drive. The SMART data indicates whether the drive is functioning properly or showing signs of potential failure.

This was the next action I planned to verify. The operating system runs on my Evo 250G SSD. If it fails, I can switch to my M.2 1TB SSD. That might be what I should try.

I experienced your issues with a mechanical drive and needed a fresh Windows install a few weeks prior due to bad sectors. The operating system was constantly corrupting itself. This might not apply to your situation after all.

Understood. I'll keep this in mind. Once I'm back, I'll check out SMART and let you know. Honestly, I'm hoping it's accurate.

I get you, a drive is cheaper than a gpu, but even old systems shouldn't bsod. I'm on a very similar build of yours and don't have such issues. Usually when a game freezes it's because it's either waiting for the cpu or waiting on an I/O operation. If the gpu struggles usually you'll experience framedrops, straight up locks shouldn't occur to my knowledge. Does it freeze on all games? Have you tried running a gpu benchmark? Does the bsod occur randomly or only when gaming? If it happens again, can you note down the error code? Might want to give memtest a try as well. 2 full passes should be enough. Just let it run overnight and see how it goes.
