So in short, I own a GTX 1060 with a 6GB Zotac amp, but when I try to overclock it, games feel less smooth. I used MSI Afterburner, and on Msi Kombustor I get better FPS, but still don’t see improvement in games. Why does this happen? When I use Kombustor the system runs more stable, so I don’t think I’m overclocking too much...

This might be related to a few possibilities.
I’m curious about the type of CPU you’re using—slow CPUs can limit performance when paired with fast GPUs (like AMD FX chips).
Are Vsync or G-Sync activated? This could cause unusual issues, especially when overclocking.
Which games are you experiencing this in?
Is it a problem across all titles or just certain ones?
EDIT: Ensure the GPU operates within the temperature range mentioned by @M.AGamer (80-85°C).

No matter why this happens, choose what functions best in your games.
If a title performs better without an overclock, adjust your card stock.
Actual performance usually outshines theory all the time.

Thank you for your feedback. I understand you're looking for a more practical response. I'll hold off until I receive a genuine diagnostic.

I believe monitoring your GPU temperature during games is important if it exceeds 80-85 degrees, as it might indicate an issue.

It might seem pointless, but it remains accurate.
