I've been operating with an Acer Aspire 17 recently. Recently, I experienced some visual issues in a game I was playing. Upon checking, my dedicated GPU wasn't listed in the task manager. After updating the system, nothing changed. I explored the device manager and restarted, which restored the GPU. The next morning, upon waking the PC, it rebooted immediately without any GPU present. I repeated the process the following night, but the GPU disappeared again after another restart. Later, I had to restart for other reasons, and the GPU reappeared. I attempted a driver update, but before starting, I encountered a BSOD stating "DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE." Since then, I've been unable to see the GPU, despite the PC functioning with integrated graphics. My specifications are as follows: Windows 10 Home 64bit, Core i5-8250U, GeForce MX150 GPU, 20GB DDR4-2666 at 1333 MHz, 1TB SATA SSD (believed to be WD blue), and a dump file attached. I hope this helps!

How long have you owned the laptop? Bought new or used? Seems like the GPU died and there's nothing you can do, unfortunately - unless the laptop is under warranty still and hasn't been used roughly. Laptop GPUs are not socketed anymore so whole motherboard must be replaced.

I don’t recall the purchase date well, likely around four or five years back when it was brand new, which means it’s no longer covered by warranty. At least the rest of the system is functioning fine. Thanks.

It's understandable to feel concerned. I don't have access to specific temperature data before the event, but you might want to check recent weather reports or historical records for that area.

Typically the temperatures hovered between the high 60s and low 70s during those games.
