Regardless of the adjustments I make, my graphics card appears to be underperforming. It only outputs 60-100 Watts during gameplay, and the “voltage limited” warning appears when MSI Afterburner is active. Through Afterburner I can track temperatures—CPU hits 67°C, GPU stays around 64-66°C. I’ve tried playing Fortnite at low settings, turned on performance mode, and pushed processor usage to 100%. FPS occasionally reaches 144 but then drops sharply with stuttering. Any advice would be invaluable since I purchased this card months ago and now it’s not functioning well.
The performance isn’t satisfactory—let’s boost the settings and confirm it runs in full screen. It seems to be an old mining GPU, so a fresh BIOS update might be necessary.
Hey, I understand your concern. It seems like this could be an old mining GPU, though the seller said otherwise. Since you haven’t updated the BIOS, it might be due for a check. Your PC has been around since 2017 and hasn’t had a BIOS flash, which could affect performance. Also, you didn’t update the CPU either.
I also have a 9900k, and there are several updates available for my Z390 Asus board that work well. I'm planning to disconnect the HDD too—I haven't used one since 2016.
Sure, I'll proceed with the BIOS update. Thank you for the details.
