GPU issue – fans run at maximum speed yet screen remains off
Hello everyone, so I recently bought a GTX 1650 for dirt cheap because the seller stated that the GPU is not working.
When I turn on the PC, fans start working on I would assume max and there is no display. After a couple of seconds you can hear the POST beep and then literally immediately after it you hear 8 quick beeps.
My motherboard is a Biostar A320MH and when I googled the beep code sequence it says that there is a Display memory error(system video adapter)
I checked for any physical damage but there seems to be none, I cleaned it and applied new thermal paste.

Add the age of the PSU along with its make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this time.
If you used a GTX 1650, what were your previous components?

Page 23, 8 beeps = display memory error – the GPU is likely needing new VRAM. If the VBIOS is corrupted, this could cost more than buying a new GTX 1650 now.
Honestly, I didn't post anything else since I'm sure it's definitely related to the GPU. The system includes a Ryzen 5 5500 CPU, stock cooler, a Biostar A320MH cooler, 16GB DDR4 RAM, an SSD with 512GB standard SATA, a PSU around two years old, and an Asus VG247Q1A monitor. It's running Windows 10 Pro with BIOS version 5.17. Even before purchasing the used GPU, I had a GTX 1650 from another manufacturer, but everything worked fine when I installed it.
The PSU is approximately two years old. Could you provide the brand and model of your power supply? If you had a different system with two PCIe x16 slots, you might attempt to flash the assumed GPU's VBIOS in hopes of restoring it, though success is uncertain.
It's unclear what the device is, and I don't have a setup with two PCIe X16 ports.
If you already have a functional 1650, then purchasing another one from someone claiming it's faulty makes little sense. Even at a low cost, the tiny expense you incur is probably not worth it.
