GPU for Star Citizen optimized for performance and efficiency.
So ever sence I first noticed @GreezyJeezy 's Fury X give away Ive been dreaming of a GPU to handle Star Citizen @1440 and max settings. I've recently upgraded to my last AM3 CPU. The Fx-9370, from a FX-$4100 OC'ed to 4.7Ghz. Ive got it running at stock speeds at a cool 3 degree above room temp on a Cryorig A40 Ultimate. The problem running Star Citizen (yes i know its in alpha and not optimized) my Asus HD7850DC2-2GD5-V2 is currently my bottle neck. Im looking to replace it to get my FPS stable at ~45 FPS+ at the lowest at the above setting. I would love to keep it around 60 FPS at its lowest points, but i think that's going to be shooting for the stars. with my current RIG (details in my profile). Im looking to spend the least money possible and accomplish the goal's above (just like everyone). Also I know the game isn't optimized yet, but im more interested in what it would take to do it right now not once its optimized. Experienced Star Citizen's only please.
Star Citizen aims for performance levels surpassing current standards. Presently, a 970 is considered the optimal choice for the version.
This is by far the funniest thing I have ever read on this forum.
It's not necessary for someone to be highly skilled to assess how well something will perform based on its parts.
I’m searching for individuals who successfully played Star Citizen at the highest configuration with a frame rate of 1440 or more and an average of 45fps.
I also requested a "Star Citizen" response. Being a "Star Citizen" isn't related to being an Elite Star Citizen player. Please stop trolling and leave this topic alone!
Right now I'm using a Furyx and it's performing well. However, with both AMD and NVidia releasing new cards in just two months, it might be wise to wait a bit to see if prices for older models drop or if the newer ones become more valuable. They're undergoing a node change at 14/16nm.
