I’ve been running a Legion 5 Pro 16ACH6H with a Ryzen 5 5800H and an RTX 3070 (8GB). Roughly a month ago, my gaming FPS dropped noticeably. I looked into it and found the CPU fan on the left was spinning while the GPU fan wasn’t working properly. The GPU fan operates normally when idle or under light use, but when the GPU is under heavy load, it shuts off completely. This leads to temperatures near 90°C, which is worrying. The fan stays off for a short time before restarting, causing unstable performance and thermal throttling. I’ve tried updating drivers, changing power plans, running diagnostics in Lenovo Vantage, using the Lenovo Toolkit to adjust fan speeds manually, and even switching to max speed temporarily. However, once it hit around 4000 RPM, it cut off instantly. I stopped experimenting with those settings to prevent possible damage. I’m stuck without a solution. I’ve done everything except a clean Windows install or sending the laptop to a service center. What might be behind this problem?
