GPU coolers remain fully on at 100% once I adjusted the fan settings in MSI Afterburner
A few weeks ago I changed my GPU fan curves in MSI Afterburner, however, ever since then whenever I boot up my PC the GPU fans automatically get pinned at 100%, even though there's obviously not any significant heat buildup yet. If I then boot up MSI Afterburner, I can see that for some reason the "auto" fan speed controls are turned off and it's simply pinning the fans at 100% in manual mode. If I turn the auto controls back on it will usually start following its specified fan curve; sometimes I also have to activate/deactivate the user specified fan curve a few times until it finally does what it's supposed to. However, every single time I reboot my PC, the auto fan controls turn back off and I have to do it all again. I've even tried completely uninstalling MSI Afterburner and all programs that are related to it, including all the settings from the app, to see if reinstalling it would help. However, even when MSI Afterburner was completely uninstalled, the GPU fans still got pinned at 100% after a restart, only now I had to reinstall MSI Afterburner first to get them back on their correct fan curve. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this and how to fix this? I'm on Windows 11 Home Version 23H2 64bit, system specs are on my profile page, if that's in any way relevant. I added screenshots of my custom fan curve and my MSI Afterburner window below if that helps, the red circle is the auto setting that keeps turning off. Update: I changed some settings in Afterburner and it seems to have helped. I believe the setting that really made a difference was "Force fan speed update on each period", now the GPU fans only spin up once after booting and then quickly go down to their correct speed without me having to do anything. Thx to everyone that tried to help out in the comments tho!
