I have upgraded from AM4 to AM5 recently and got the Ryzen 9800X3D, and now I am looking to upgrade my GPU to maximize my gaming performance in 5120x1440 (Odyssey G9), Ideally I want to aim for full 240 fps but I am happy if I can hit 120-140+ in every game with max settings. Currently I own a 3080 TI that I bought back in 2021 and it started showing it's age when I got the G9 towards the end of last year, I can still tinker with most game settings and get at least 60-70 FPS in most AAA titles but like I said, I'd like to get at least double that. In my mind this is only achievable through Upscaling and Framegen and that's why I am really looking to get a new gen card even though I know the base performance jump isn't that big. below are my current options:
- 5090 - I have a reservation on the PNY one, if I go through with the order it would arrive at the end of may, but it would cost me 2400 euros (base card price)+ around 300-400 euros in customs, taxes etc... as it ships from a different country, so 2800 euros in total. While this is my dream card and I can afford it, I cant help but feel guilty and part of the problem if I pay that much for it.
- 5080 - The minimum this is available for is around $1200 (I still pay $200-$300 extra for shipping/customs etc...)
- 9070 XT - Read a lot of good things about this card and FSR4, however for me the cons is that frame gen wont be as good as nvidia's and FSR4 seems to be behind the new DLSS transformer model, and on top of that I don't see it being much better than the 3080 TI in terms of performance. This would cost me $650-$700 for the base card and an extra $200 for shipping and customs)
For full context I live in Egypt and these cards prices are insane (5090 is $5k and 5080 is $2.5k) and that's why I am importing one from abroad. I also thought about waiting for a 5080 TI etc... but I don't see how this will be available for MSRP at release, and i can see the same thing happening again. I reckon i'd be able to sell my current card for $400-$500 as well.
Full Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 9800X3D
PSU: Corsair RM1000x
GPU: Gigabyte 3080 TI OC
Motherboard: ASUS TUF B650E Wifi
RAM: Corsair Veng 32GB CL30
Primary Monitor: Samsung G9 Odyssey 49 inch (5120x1440x240hz)
Secondary Monitor: LG 34GN850-B 34 Inch (3440x1440x165hz)
Any advice would be appreciated.

From the three options, I would choose an RX 9070 XT.

Without the FSR4 framegen, the 9070xt will be 50% stronger than the 3080ti, but it won't reach 240 fps in your actual scenes.
