GPU changes voltage between 850/825mV and 1200mV during gameplay
I recently assembled my first PC and feel quite inexperienced with all the details. Perhaps I'm just making a mistake, but I haven't found much info online about this issue. After trying several games—Rocket League, Bo3, Prey—I managed to maintain smooth performance up to around 165Hz FPS without any stuttering. When using software like AMD Adrenaline (Alt + R) or GPU-Z, the fan noise increases noticeably, and the GPU gets warmer. Depending on the game, fans speed up significantly due to their curves, and I noticed a jump from 825/850mV to 1200mV. The higher temperatures seem mostly linked to AMD Adrenaline. In one photo I had GPU-Z running in the background while playing Bo3 for about 30 seconds, showing a steady 850mV, then switching to GPU-Z next to the game and seeing the 1200mV spikes appear. Another image captures voltage changes during Doom Eternal when I played without any software, and again fans kick into overdrive. I'm new to PCs, so maybe this behavior is normal, but it's puzzling. Have anyone seen anything similar? Or is this just how the GPU operates? If not, what should I do next?
