I've experienced issues with my ROG STRIX 2080 Ti after modifying the motherboard. When I opened it to change the NVMe drive, the system entered safe mode and the GPU failed to display. Pressing F1 and saving BIOS settings reset everything, but the problem persisted. After turning off the PC, it returned to safe mode and repeated the issue. Eventually, I replaced the GPU with an older GTX 1660s, which worked perfectly. Now I'm trying a GTX 970 on the new board and it boots without problems. It seems the original setup had a compatibility issue that resolved after a hardware swap.

It might be a driver problem or a hardware issue. I'd suggest testing Linux on your 2080ti and checking if it sends signals to your monitor. If you prefer, use a Unbuntu live USB without installing on your SSD. Good luck!
