Msi afterburner ceased functioning, causing the GPU to revert to 0DB mode while fans stopped. For about 10-15 minutes, it maintained a temperature of 94°C and a hotspot of 105°C. Should I investigate any potential damage to the card? If so, how can I proceed with the diagnosis? GPU model: 3060 Mobo x570.

Always verify the results. Execute a set of benchmarks to confirm stability and absence of artifacts. 105c appears safe for silicone, so it should be okay.

The cards include internal throttling to avoid harm from temperature changes, which is normal. There isn’t a superior alternative besides keeping using it. If you experience damage from heat, you’ll notice artifacts or the system will begin to fail.
