GPU and CPU utilization decrease alongside FPS.
I'm trying to extract maximum performance from my decent gaming PC, especially while playing in VR and other games. However, I often experience sudden 10-15 second drops in FPS. Like a cut in half. I used MSI Afterburner to track the stats, and it shows my GPU and CPU usage dropping, along with FPS reductions. I have some pictures if that would be useful. My temperatures are normal, staying below 65 degrees. I'm curious about possible reasons for these FPS drops. Thanks for any help!

I'm not pushing these games to their highest graphics settings. They usually hit the 90 frame cap in VR but still drop occasionally. My GPU and CPU usage are not consistently at 100%. I'm not sure if that's the goal when trying to get more power out. Thanks again!

What is your motherboard's make and model, along with the BIOS version you're using? If you're on Windows 10, note which OS version you have. You can try uninstalling your GPU drivers using DDU and reinstall from the latest version available on Nvidia's support site. Install it in an elevated command prompt, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
