Got high vdroop on my Hero Xl LLC6 9900k running v1.320 at 5GHz.
I'm trying to overclock my Intel Core i7-9900K but I followed almost all of those YouTube tutorials. Now I still have high VRAM boost problems with my ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero (Wi-Fi Z390 LLC6 v1.320 5ghz). Even when the core voltage is set to 1.23 under heavy load like in Blender or AIDA64, it stays high whether I use manual or adaptive settings.
When you plug in new chips (OC'ed), the voltages might differ from chip to chip. You could just be unlucky. But make sure your cooler is good enough, and turn on "Auto" in your BIOS settings?
With custom parts you get different chips from the factory that might not match your needs. Some CPUs need high heat or power while others are weak. You could be unlucky with your specific model. Check if it runs hot and make sure you have lots of cooling fans. Is turning on "Auto OC" in your BIOS setting?
