Right now I'm just thinking about how the new 5090 driver doesn't work with your TV. The old computer was working fine, so we know the TV and cable are good. I switch back and forth between VLC and MPC-HC on my OLED screen. Some files play better in one player than another (maybe because of different video codecs?). I also installed MadVR in Klite and found hundreds of settings that aren't really needed. Most of them seem too complicated for me, but maybe a small tweak inside VLC or another player could fix your problem. There are lots of online places for home theater people to look at. Good luck there! https://forum.videolan.org/ (Don't use a VPN because they might block that IP address) https://www.avsforum.com/forums/ https://codecguide.com/forum.htm
It is a smart TV. You need to put a Plex server on your computer and the app on the TV screen. Then you can watch your movies using Plex.
I have made some progress, and even though I don't understand how it works, i found a workaround! When i go to system>display>graphics on that 3rd display LG TV, i accidentally scrolled up and there is higher refresh rate. i didnt even know the tv had more than 60hz. it was always a 4k 60hz tv but there are 100/119/120hz with asterisk * next to it, so i selected 120hz and applied, the resolution went from 4k to fullHD 1920x1080, and THEN when i drag VLC/Mediaplayer/Stremio/netflix window to that TV its butter smooth!!!!! So there is definitely something weird going with signal/color range/frame times when using 60hz at 4k with this new GPU/drivers. Any idea?
