Google's Find My remains unavailable even after checking issues.
Hi, your Google Find Hub app on your S21 isn't functioning properly. When you open it, you see no devices listed and a yellow warning appears suggesting you use the find my network feature. Clicking it leads to a page asking to activate it for your phone, but it returns an error message. On your phone, you have both a personal Google account and a school account. In the popup, the school account email is displayed, which seems confusing since you're signed in as your personal account. After removing the school account from your phone, the app worked without a popup. Also, make sure you're not using any VPNs. Please let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks! (Reference: Screen recording attached.)
This appears to be a school-managed account or device. Only authorized personnel can turn it on or off. Could you clarify which devices you're referring to? Also, have you logged into the same Google account on these systems and activated Find My?
Thanks for reaching out. It seems the problem persists even after removing the school account. My Nothing Ear (a) earbuds and the cheap OTAG both appear compatible, yet pairing still fails. I’m unsure how to activate Find My on these devices since they only prompt to pair with the network. My friend’s phone worked fine using the same OTAG, so it’s likely not an admin issue—unless there’s a technical oversight from FamilyLink supervision. The Find Hub app installation also stalled when I tried it on my laptop, requiring an active Android device, which might not be my S21. I’ve checked Samsung integration options but haven’t found a solution yet. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Based on what I found, the earbuds should work with your phone via Bluetooth. Make sure Location Services are turned on and Location Accuracy is enabled so they function indoors. Look into the Nothing app for any Find My settings. Also, see if a firmware update is available for the earbuds.
I connected the earbuds using Bluetooth and enabled all of Google's location settings. The Nothing X app doesn’t seem to have options for finding my network. Interestingly, connecting via Bluetooth triggers a Google Play Services alert showing my earbud battery level. Tapping it opens an app labeled Google Play Services, which lets me ring through the earbuds and locate them, but this behavior isn’t consistent with other devices or visible on the map.
