Hello, I'm looking for assistance with automating parts of my Google Sheets workflow using JotForm. The current setup updates correctly when new orders are submitted, but I need the B column to identify company names across different tabs. For instance, when the "Completed Card Order Form Data" tab is updated, the system should trigger a search in the "6th Gear Contracting" tab. Then, in column C, it should compare card numbers and either open the relevant tab or delete rows based on matching criteria. After deletion, column D should check for new entries and add them with appropriate details. I'd appreciate any guidance to streamline this process across multiple tabs. Your help would be very valuable.

I rely on Access every day.
It offers a variety of built-in templates for many tasks.
One of them is likely close to what you need.
Not perfect, but it covers most requirements.
Order management, inventory, billing, etc., are handled well.
Spreadsheets and Excel work fine for their purpose—complex calculators, though.
Word excels at its core functions. A typewriter in essence.
Access and similar tools perform admirably in their areas.

Consider examining the LOOKUP Functions (Type and Name) first.
You might also find VLOOKUP helpful.
Additionally, you can search online for more tutorials, guides, and examples.
It’s worth noting that a database suits your needs better.
Over time, spreadsheets become increasingly difficult to manage and handle.

As before, this scenario demands a real database instead of a spreadsheet.
This is exactly what I do regularly... Changing a spreadsheet that no longer fits Excel or Sheets.
That’s where you begin.

I will third the sentiments above. You are certainly not applying the right method here. This is clearly about database matters.

Sure, I thought the same. I'm just checking if sheets would be suitable because of the "free" part. Got any suggestions on using a database? I've worked with Microsoft Access before, though my skills are a bit fuzzy.

Sheets and Excel work well for their intended purposes—calculators. Extremely complex ones.

Access and similar tools are strong in their areas.
Don't stray from the streams.

What is its real purpose? Orders, stock levels, job handling... The standard Northwind format in Access 2019...

alright, here's another question, how would you link numbers and names together?
