I think my computer could use a bit more optimization in certain games. My friend with a less powerful setup was achieving higher frame rates in several titles we tried. It’s hard to ignore the difference when they’re getting 100+ frames more than me, even at 280 in Valorant or around 200 in Fortnite. While it’s easy to focus on FPS numbers, there might be other factors affecting performance. Any suggestions for improving speed or troubleshooting? My specs are: Intel i7-9700k, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 ti, ROG STRIX Z390-E, drivers updated.

What were his specifications? How many RAM modules are currently installed? What are the CPU and GPU temperatures during a 30-minute workload? Are all your games stored on an SSD? Regarding the storage drive, are you using it at the same display resolution?

These figures seem typical for a 9700K setup. It’s likely the CPU is limiting performance, so ensure RAM is placed correctly in slots 2 and 4. Check if XMP is activated. Monitor CPU and GPU temperatures while under stress. Verify overclocking settings for CPU, GPU, or RAM if applicable. Confirm the display resolution matches your configuration and that your friend uses identical settings.

It's fair to say the SSD component played a key role.

His components include a Ryzen 7 processor (exact model uncertain) and a GeForce 1660 Super with four 4GB VRAM units, totaling 8GB of RAM. Temperatures remain stable at around 40-45°C during gameplay, and everything runs on SSDs—three in total. Same graphics setup as before.

I possess four sticks ensuring every slot is occupied.
2. It isn't activated.
3. Temperature range stays between 40-45°C.
4. No overclocking applied on any unit.
5. Resolution is 1920x1080.

The minimum requirements vary by game, but generally include a stable internet connection and compatible device. Recommended specs often involve a decent processor, enough RAM, and sufficient storage for smooth performance.

It should be activated. 5. What's the reason for playing at 1080p? 2560 x 1440p is what you're using for games...
