3200MHz CL14 or 3600MHz CL16 could be a reasonable choice some suggest. I’d lean toward 3600 over 3200, though 3200 is more reliable since it’s officially supported. Most CPUs should handle 3600 easily if you’re comfortable with the specs. A 3600 CL14 would be ideal but the price might be high. I tested a 3600 CL18 on my 3900x and switched to 2666 CL16 afterward—it still works fine. -shrug-

It's unlikely that any single setting will make a noticeable difference unless your workload is extremely memory-intensive. The ideal clock speed is lower, but timing still plays a significant role: a 3600MHz CL16 is preferable to a 3600MHz CL18, yet a 3200MHz CL14 remains slower even with better timings. Particularly with 32GB RAM, aim for exactly four memory ranks—Zen 3 recommends this configuration. This usually means pairing two dual-rank 16GB modules or four single-rank 8GB modules. Some 16GB modules are single-rank, so a set of those won't meet the requirement. It won't completely determine your build, but having four ranks will deliver the best results. Regarding your board setup, it seems the stick placement might have been shifted incorrectly. For your model, two sticks should be in slots A2 and B2 (the second and fourth positions from the CPU side). Any other arrangement isn’t guaranteed to work. If only one stick is used, place it solely in slot A2. Make sure to reset the CMOS and try booting again.

In the uk, it's super hard to find Samsung b-die ram that isn't over£300!!! https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team-grou...aNycGzNEr0 I got this amazing ram on sale for only £180 and have been running it rock stable at 3600 CL 14 14 14 14 30 and 3800 CL 16 16 16 16 32 with my ryzen 5900x 100% stable!!!! There is only 1 down side tho i'm afraid.... No RGB My question is, which would be better 3600 cl 14 or 3800 cl 16 both running in 1:1:1 mode. Thanks!
