the system specs include an rtx 3070 ti, 32gb ddr4 at 3200mhz dual channel ram, a ryan zen 7 5800x, and a 1000w gold psu. when playing rust, my frames stay between 80-100 until heavy graphics load, after which fps drops to 40-10. i notice inconsistent fps even without stutters in-game. some friends with similar specs run the game smoothly without major drops. i've heard rust can be problematic for optimization, but others say it works fine. my gpu and cpu usage stays around 30% and 95-100% during laggy moments. at lowest settings i'm on 1440p, but i have to lower to 720p to see any difference.

1000w gold psu is the advertised power supply unit. What model is it? How long has this PSU been in use? You didn’t mention your motherboard’s make and model. What is the BIOS version for your motherboard?

The psu is an Rmx series for ATX. I acquired it just a month ago.
The motherboard is a B550-f rog strix gaming wifi ii, with BIOS version 0305 x64.
Unclear what you need me to focus on regarding the RAM.
I also installed the newest GeForce Experience drivers.
