I recently assembled a new PC about three months ago, and it has been quite stable until now. It’s starting to lag, causing poor FPS drops in games and occasional screen tearing. Running CSGO or Fortnite at high settings often leads to significant FPS issues, which is why I requested a minimum of 244 FPS for Fortnite before it began lagging. Please assist me.

Can you execute Task Manager or MSI Afterburner to track GPU and CPU usage simultaneously? Then, when an issue occurs, check the usage levels during that moment? MSI Afterburner works well here as it allows simultaneous graphing of both components.

i'm not the most experienced with msi afterburner, but i don't notice any unusual behavior. however, the gpu usage appears to increase and then drop significantly.

Check the CPU usage graph to see what's happening. If both are dropping together and it's limited to a few apps, it might point to those specific applications. Just keep in mind, I've also heard Fortnite facing performance problems with updates, though I'm not a player myself—worth considering if you're curious.

it definitely shows more performance problems as it progresses. i think i finally understood the issue. i just tried removing my drivers and reinstalling them, which seems to help a lot, but i'll share some screenshots of msi afterburner running csgo since that was the main problem.
