Hi everyone. I'm looking for a new laptop with a budget around $2500. I'm aiming for the $1500-2000 range, though I don't want to compromise too much. My main need is heavy Excel work—sometimes handling nearly a million rows. A 17-inch screen would be ideal, but a 15-inch works if the rest fits. I don’t play games much, but I might let my 9-year-old try some in a year or two. Thanks in advance!

When handling big data with demanding computations, you need sufficient fast RAM, a top-tier CPU, and a quick storage solution. I’d aim for 32gb memory and choose a laptop that handles heat well, avoiding thermal throttling. I don’t have a particular model in mind—it’s been a while since I really checked laptop reviews.
